On Saturday, July 18, 2026, we held our fifth WordPress Contributors Meeting at Career Institute’s Jinnah Colony Campus in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
The meeting was small, calm, and focused, giving everyone a good opportunity to learn, contribute, and participate in meaningful discussions.
I, Abdul Rahman Pomy, opened the meeting by discussing the importance of contributing to WordPress. I also shared some valuable points from our recent interview with Velda Christensen, including why more people should contribute and what they can gain from the experience, such as learning new skills, building connections, helping others, and experiencing the joy of giving back to the WordPress project.
We also decided to discuss interviews with experienced WordPress contributors during our future meetings. This will help new contributors learn from people who have been contributing for decades, understand their journeys, and feel encouraged by their experiences.
President of WordPress Faisalabad Community, Sir Adnan Hyder led an informative discussion about accessibility. He explained why accessibility matters and shared practical points that can help us make websites and digital content easier to use for everyone.
We also discussed different ways to contribute to WordPress, explored relevant job opportunities, and encouraged participants to become more actively involved in the WordPress community.
